The Warsaw Voice is among the winners of the GrandFront competition for the best newspaper and magazine front page of the year. The Warsaw Voice received the gold medal in the opinion-shaping magazines section of the competition for the second time. It won for the cover of its last issue of 2007, designed by Rafał Poławski, marking the Voice's 1,000th issue. The medal was previously won by the Voice's graphic designer Magdalena Jonas for a cover in 2005.

May Day demonstrations, mostly organized by leftist groups, were held in cities across Poland to celebrate International Workers' Day May 1. Most demonstrations were peaceful although the march in Poznań was disrupted by right-wing activists.
